The Jewel really is a pretty agressive fish and especially during breeding. I really doubt that the ram's or gourami's would survive if your Jewels every were to breed. The Kribensis though on the other hand. They may be small but they can hold there own, especially if u have a good pair that work together defending their territory. I have a 45gal with a pair of Kribensis and Jewels, and the Jewels have breed numerous times. Then I've had another pair of Kribs for about a year in a 20 long with a pair of blue rams and i haven't had a problem with them, but when i bought the kribensis in that tank they were really small and grew up used to the rams so consider that though.
