How’s the weather?

Its been quite springlike here but that is about to change drastically from Monday...back to the normal chilly and wet weather.

We have had our summer, that was it, one week long....as usual ;)

It screws up your sleep pattern trying to go to bed an hour earlier than normal. Then it takes a month to develop a new pattern. Then a few months later it gets screwed up again when the clocks go back to normal time.
Never happened to me, in the nearly 60 years I've been doing it...

Gorgeous weather here, for the last several days, and for several more to come...won't be long before mowing the lawn becomes a weekly ritual, again

Murphy's has struck once again......

Whilst digging about in my freezers looking for something for lunch, I discovered a large tub of raspberry ripple ice cream lurking at the bottom of the chest freezer......not a clue how long its been there, forgotten it was there....its very nice....such a shame that today the temp is 18 and sunny and on Monday it will be 9 and wet.....

Why didn't I find my ice cream last weekend at the start of our week of summer weather?

:dunno:

On Monday we are expecting lows of 21 F. But on Friday we will have a high at 65. Crazy weather. We're entering springtime here in the Northeast US

As promised by the weather gods, summer has ended, After a week of lovely springlike days where that big orangey yellowy ball came out to play.......its gone wet, miserable and even snow is being threatened by midweek

Normally the British weather waits til Wimbledon before it decides to chuck wetness everywhere.....but old Grandma Nature is playing silly so'n'so's early this year 🙄

Get used to it, climate change is here.

In Perth, Western Australia, we used to get easterly winds starting in late January and go through February. That was our hottest time of year and was at the end of summer.

Now we get easterly winds starting in August and going through to April. These are hot dry winds coming off the desert and they bring dust with them.

The easterly winds have been occurring earlier and earlier since the turn of this century.

I have friends who live in the Balcatta area of Perth, I met them a few times when on my cruise ship adventures, she and her husband have pretty much given up on the weather....they no longer plan for anything and take each day as it arrives :)

Probably the best way to go.....even if it does mess up the wardrobe choices

Is that a giant bunny I can see in your garden?

I love that garden....absolutely adore it, its beautiful and I am seriously jealous :p
Yep, the bunny is made from an idea I am having using Tangram pieces for garden art. Look up Tangram on google. The idea is to make a kit and an instruction book then your garden sculptures can be changed whenever you like. Tangram is a Chinese puzzle dating back about 300 years
