had my 60 litre tank cycling (fishless) for nearly 2 weeks
here are my readings today (Tuesday)

Ammonia 0
ph 7.5
nitrates 100 MG/l
nitrites 10 MG/l

what should happen next

Looks like you may need to do a good size water change to bring down nitrites and nitrates. Nitrates are high showing you have a large bacteria bloom. A water change should really help.

I advise against a water change at this stage. Just continue to add the half dose i assume you switched to when you saw nitrites. The nitrites take a lot longer to come down than the ammonia, prepare yourself that. One day, quite suddenly, the nitrites will be almost or completely gone. Be patient.

Thanks , Ill wait for the Nirites to come down , glad im on the right tracks ,

I agree, when I cycled my baby tank my nitrites were at 5.0 (or higher but my chart only shows 5.0) I waited and some days thought it would never come down, all the while my nitrates were climbing higher and higher.

I did a test one day and thought that perhaps my nitrites may be a little lower that 5.0 perhaps 4.5 but not enough to register on the card. The next day they were a lovely blue 0. Just like that - gone, its amazing.

Good luck :D
