How Well Do Sterbais Ship?

After my debacle with Panda Cories, and doing some investigating on Sterbais, I've decided to try them. They appear to be a hardier species but not as common or cheap as the others (though I found a place selling them decently priced) I've decided to give them a try instead. My only concern is shipping stress. I'm at the bottom of the country and the dealer is at the top of the country so they'll be traveling a long distance.

As I said, I have done some research and they appear to adapt readily and better than Pandas so I've got that covered (they'll occupy the same aquarium as the remaining Pandas will), I'm just not wanting to lose half a batch because they don't ship well.

Hi Teelie,

I don't think C. sterbai will have a harder time during shipping than other corys as long as they are packed properly and don't get chilled or overheated during their trip. It's always best to pay the difference for next day delivery.

You might have a problem keeping the sterbai in the same tank with the C. pandas though. Since the pandas like cool temperatures and the sterbai prefer it warmer, there isn't much of a temperature range they share.

Thanks, I may keep the Pandas in another aquarium then. I have a 10 gallon with no idea what to do with it so the Pandas may get to go in there I have 5 or 6 left of the original 13 so they should be comfy.
