You could ask your local fish store for pest snails, those things are small and like dynamite. ;)

You can breed snails for them, certainly. Good to have another tank to do it in though I think. For dwarf puffers you'll want ramshorn and/or pond snails, malaysian trumpet snails are a bit too hard for them I think.

Agree with Ninjouzata, have a second small tank with some Elodea in it, and chuck a load of Ramshorns in there and they'll multiply like no tomorrow!

yea i know i have seen this before so what size tank or could i use a bowl with an air filter

I have bred common / pond snails for my assassin snails before.

Did use a 5 gallon tank with a simple sponge filter and very cheap gravel and a couple of plants.

I soon stopped this as started to have problems with planaria, think due to overfeeding the snails. But briefly, it did work rather well :)

i dont want to feed the snails at all and will probably keep them outside with no heater in a huge tub

and mosquito larve and other bugs that fish like to eat will indefinatly get into the tub
