hi please could you tel me how to work out the actual flow rate turn over my filter is doing

its 180lts of water and fluval 305

Is it flow rate divided by lts of your tank

Spot on mate. I believe the fluval 305 is 1000 lph so your turn over will be x 5.5

i was looking at this hob filter i gave it says

• 158 Gallons Per Hour Flow Rate
• For Aquariums up to 40-45 Gallons (larger with additional Filters such as another HBL-701 or Hydro Sponge Filter)


158g is 718 lts and i have a 60lts tank it running in just to keep the water moving so its 11x per hour

but i dont like the filter hanging there lol.... on my iwagumi 60lts turn over is ok but it ugly lol..
