My plan for this weekend is to sort carbon in my tank

How do youuse it? In a sock in a chamber?

What kind of carbon do you guys use andhow much andhow often?

any advice really appreciated

thanks Simon

I've no idea wath the options are Seffie? lol

its for my River Reef?

Mmmmm, have you thought of maybe running an external, bet you already have one, you could then put all your media in there, carbon, phoshate remover and purigen - i would suggest trying to find a way of hooking them or suspending them so the particles are free to move around in the bags :good: other is a reactor

Its not an option to have an external as the reefs in the living room unfortuntely. Its got to be something withing the tank. Can you put them in a tight style bag and if so does it work?

Usually the bag comes with the media Simon, as long as there is flow around/through the bag it will be fine :good:

However, if you are a bit handy you could make a small reactor, think Barney talks about it on the Hardware of the week thread for reactors - you only need a tiny pump, the maxijet 500 and it is very quiet
