How to take care of fry?

My platty had 11 fry. I placed them in a one gallon fish bowl. Tried to crush my flakes so they could eat it. So far they seem to be doing okay. They're a week old. How do I make sure their healthy. I want all of my fry to live.

Please help. I changed the fish bowl's water once, during their fourth day. Fed them once a day

The bowl should only be a temporary home for the fish. You should change about 15 - 20 % of the water daily and monitor the temp closely as the platies are not coldwater fish. Also the fry should be fed a very small amount of food but feed them 3-5 times a day. Do your water change after the last feeding.
Again though you should find a proper home for the little guys soon. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Congrats - are you going to put them back into the original tank that they came from? If so, wait until they are "bigger than a mouthful" so that they don't get eaten.
