My aquarium storage HQ is in the garage and I was wondering how to store things like buckets and siphons because I'm worried about contaminants and other things. Thank you in advance.

i just have 2 home depot buckets (with the lids) and i store all the stuff inside the buckets and put the lid on. then when i do a water change i just dump out all the stuff out of the buckets. it’s not very efficient to dump out stuff and put them back in the buckets but it works. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had a couple of big plastic rubbish bins. I would wash and dry equipment, then put it in the bins and put the lids on to keep the dirt and dust out.

Only problem is that I dont have a lid for my bucket. All it is, is a simple red 5L bucket with no lid. So I would totally do that but this bucket was made to not have a lid. Thanks though.

Save up and buy a 40 or 70 litre plastic rubbish bin or a 100 litre plastic storage container.

Save up? I found a 5 gallon bucket+lid on petco.com for $8.99... Unless you think a bigger one is needed for a 20g... I just need to know how to store my stuff... Do you really think I need a different bucket?

I keep mine in the bathroom. As long as my daughter doesn't go in there and spray sun screen around  it seems to work well. Otherwise, have you thought of covering it all with something liquid proof, like damp proof course plastic, or storing it in a rubble sack?

Well our bathroom isnt big enough to store aquarium supplies and my mom would not approve. But I could try to find something to cover it.... I just dont know of anything.
