how can you sex corys?
if you cant sex them how meny do you need in a tank to no u got 1 male and a female?

Once fully grown or near fully grown the females will be bigger and fatter than the males. Corys need to be kept in groups of 4+ but 6+ is better. How big is your tank? and what else is in it?

Has Kizno said above, plus sexing is normally easier from above, where you can see the females are normally fatter and wider and males are more streamline. :)

While their size and shape varies a bit by species, this picture of C. aeneus (albino) will give you a general idea of the difference between the sexes. The male is the fish on top and the female is the one on the bottom.

Hope this helps. :D

thanks everyone :), but the picture didnt help lol, they looked the same, any other way?
also, is there any way to know about knowing difference between julies? or is there any best way to no u got at least a male and female as julies?

thanks :)

Thanks the photo Inchworm, helped me :good:

Princesscoral my granddaughter has six peppered corys in her tank, they have spawned once, she did a big water change using cold water instead of the warm water we normally do it with! So what was four is now six, it was magic to see those little babies for the first time

I have admired the photo Harlequin has as her Sig for a long time and would love some yellow or green lasers, but just cant seem to find any  that dont need posting or are very expensive (other half hasnt got a job at the moment so money is a bit tight  )

Sorry for the hijack
