How To Sex An Apistogramma Macmasteri

i bought some months ago but never really seen them now i have had some sightings of them and have moved them to their own tank. im just wondering if there a pair and how would i sex them?

any help would be much appreiciated

The males have more color and longer fins than the females. Can you post pics? I can positively tell you then.

i will try but they have been hiding away in my main tank and ive only just put them on there own so there a bit shy

ok thanks for that, im pretty sure that i got 2 males but they are still hiding away. il keep you updated they will prob come out in around a week and il give it a go at getting some pics

These fish are both the same size by the way and have only just been moved apart so the 1st fish prob just isnt showing its colours

They do both appear to be male.#1 dominate, #2 subdominate.

I thought they were both male, the females are usually 2/3 there size. Thanks for the help!!
