How to know the crayfish is dead

I have two crayfish. The big ate off the entire fin like thing of the small one. Now the smallone lay down with no moments. Not at all. Is it dead?

So it ate the tail off the other one? I believe if it's not moving then it's dead, especially since the gills are in the tail.

The cray could have already been dead, and the other was scavenging on it

Remove it from the tank, and if it smells bad, it's deceased
