How To Get Rid Of Old Watermarks

That's how I rinsed out BLEACH. lol You'll be fine from a little vinegar and lemon. The lazy rinse. I flooded my whole yard.

I've had the same problem before, one method I used with some success (might take care of the little bit you have left).
I wet a paper towel with distilled white vinegar and placed over the affected area, it was damp enough that it stuck to the glass.
I put seran wrap over the paper towel and stuck it over the top of the tank (just to keep the towel moist, and to prevent it from falling).
It remained that way for about 24 hours and once I removed it I took a razor blade to it immediatly and it seemed to come off easier.
I assume it worked simply because it had more time for the acid in the vinegar to eat away at the lime/calcium build up.
Hope this helps!

Bleach? :look: Wouldn't have dared that, but will keep it in mind for next time.

Thanks also BGK1. If I ever get another tank, this sounds like a good method too.

It is ready to go now. There are the tiniest of lines left, but you really have to stick your nose right up to it and squint to see them, so I'm hoping that with water it won't really be visible. Really considering what it looked like before I think it looks amazing now. Time to think about filling it up

I had to bleach my tanks to sterilize them, I don't recommend it for basic cleaning.

Why did you need to sterilize them? *scratches head*

Well, definitely good news now. Water is in, filter is in and there are 0 watermarks visible. Can't believe it considering it was so manky only a few days ago. Time to plant it and then it's time for my sorority.

Glad my suggestion of lemon juice worked :good: I use it on granite and can also be used on limescale on shower heads.
If only i knew as much about fish things :D :D
