How To Get Rid Of Duckweed And Ramshorn

Another good idea thanks Sorry for the daft question, but how small a tank can I get away with? My only other current tank (if I do some shuffeling) is the 6.6 US gallon. Would that be to small for a couple of dwarfs ?

I guess it should be OK with good filtration so long as it's not overstocked.

Two dwarf puffers - that wouldn't be overstocked then would it ? (I'll do some reading up first though)

You might want a few more than that as they will pick on each other as well.

Well this is fascinating - and I might very well re-think my vigour to get rid of both the ramshorn and the duckweed.

I've just found this brilliant article on breeding Amano Shrimp - and learnt that :

My advice to anyone who would like to try spawning these shrimp is to have them in their own species tank, with lots of live plants, the main ones appear to be duckweed.

I did notice the shrimp were eating the smaller ramshorn snails.

Well looks like you maybe able to sort your problems out easily.

What size are your shrimps at the minute?

The largest ones, approx 1.5 " at the mo - the smaller ones about 1"

Unfortunately, I just binned a whole pile of Duckweed! Maybe I should get some shrimp!
