how can i get clean water for my new betta tank, without the water going dirty cloudy like.
the tank doesn't have filter, airpump or andything like that, it just tank, gravel, light, and fish

Is there a way to keep it clean?

Get a bigger tank then, if the tanks not big enough for a filter, its not big enough for a fish in my opinion.

Agreed, but aside from that having a filter (and therefore eventually having a cycled filter). Is sooooo much easier, and is much better for the fish if something un expected happens like you have to go into hospital, or you decide to go on holiday.

I know plenty of people willing to feed fish... friends/neighbours never seem quite as keen on doing massive water changes though!

can't afford bigger.

would apple snails work?

Apple snails poop and create ammonia... how on earth would they logically help your water conditins?

How big is the tank? Could you not fit a home made sponge filter in it? That'd help.

The cloudiness you're describing could be a bacterial bloom by the way.

Check out your local classified paper/ebay. You can pick up a used 2ft tank for around £10-20. How big is the tank out of interest?

Ps. any luck breeding those blue tigers yet curiosity? :p

If you are going to keep fish the least you can do for them is to keep them properly! Get a second hand bigger tank and put in a small filter or you are just being cruel!

i have moved him into my 55 litre communtity tank, he looks better in there.
at the moment he's just staying at top and does swim down sometimes, soon he should swim all around.
he has lots of hiding places such as plants and ornaments incase he get picked on, which he isnt getting picked on.

You can buy 20litre kids tanks that come with filters for like £20 at any fish store/pet chain.

For goodness sake don't put a fish in an unfiltered tank.

James.

My sister has a Betta in a bowl, no filter, and I believe she's given up on water changes  , And its been alive for about 4-5 years now? Although it looks like its on its last legs.

because their natural life span is only about 4 to 5 years long?
