I curently run a Aqua Clear 300 and was wondering if I should put filter floss under the filter sponge or on top of the filter sponge.

Thanks

I've never used an Aqua Clear 300 but I am familiar with them (I just peeked in the box at one the other day) You can use floss instead of a sponge or just stuff it around the sponge, wherever it fits the best, over or under,ya can't go wrong.

Just make sure you keep it away from the propellar, sometimes it can catch a piece and get knotted up and slow your filter down. Unless you use a bag to stuff your floss in. If it slows down your flow too much, just rearrange it until it works the best.

I use it after the aquaclear foam sponge. The regular sponge will first filter out larger debris, and then the filter floss will help to polish it. You can just stuff it in the filter, your you can buy mesh bags to keep things neater.

Thanks for the info guys

I'm wondering about these mesh bags can anyone tell me where I would find these and what they may be called

I think they would be a great idea to keep stuff together.

Thanks
