I place mine deep under the compost heap. Failing that, dig a hole and cover it with rocks or a very heavy potted plant to stop the local cats digging the poor might up. I dont flush my pets. There's something just too callous for my liking, (and environmentally unsound/not good for your pipes!).

Fish, aquarium plants, snails etc shouldn't be flushed because they can get into the environment and either introduce a pest into the ecosystem or diseases/parasites.

I put mine in a compost bin.

We have an open fire and when its lit I have been known to put one in there now and then. Although its been the compost bin for a long time now.
