Well, im trying to make a DIY spray bar for the betta tank and i got some garden hose, how do i dis-infect it, i just washed it unbder warm water, this is obviously not enough. Is a hand-sanitiser dangerous?

Clean it in a weak bleach solution and then rinse thoroughly several times.

You can buy pond disinfectant from most garden centres. I use this on nets and my gravel vac every week after use. Just pop it in a bucket with the desired amount of pond disinfectant then rinse thoroughly after.

Bleach & water, 1 part bleach to 20 parts water. Rinse well, let it dry. Double up on dechlor when using.

I'd like to add a terracotta cave for my betta what should I do to treat it? Same as above? i.e. dilute bleach, leave to dry.

With terracotta, I just give it a good scrub under a warm tap.

Use the cheapest chlorine bleach that you can find at the store, the one with no sweet smells added or anything of the sort. The only active ingredient should be a dilute solution of sodium hypochlorite.
