How To Change Water And Not Harm Plants?

I've never had a problem and I use a 10 litre bucket. I fill it to the brim but pour the water back in slowly. :good: Eventually you'll work up some forearm muscles and it'll be a piece of cake :p

You do need to be a bit more careful with sand than with gravel though :good:

I refill with the bucket method and have never disturbed my sand or plants. I float a large plastic bowl on the water and fill the bowl with the incoming water. One hand on the bowl to keep it from sinking more than just below the water line. The water overflows from all sides of the bowl and doesn't cause any disturbance with the sand, fish, plants, etc.

I use a bucket for my 50% weekly waterchange and just pour the water on to the brace that runs across the top on my tank.

This way none of my many plants are disturbed in any way :good:

i put a small glass cup on the sand then syphon/pump into it... (gota be extra careful with small plants... its a pain to plant them all 1 by one)

I just put the watet in to my filter then it hits the water with out problems.
