How To Change Media

Hi , i have a fluval 250 external filter and i need to know how to change the media , as i know if i just put new media straight in , it has no bacteria(is that right), i'm just wandering how you guys' (and gals) change it . thankyou very much in advance..

Oh righty ho then , what about the carbon? i have the one that is in a bag , do i just rinse the bag?

you dont need carbon, get rid of it and replace it with more ceramics

OH, thats new to me, ok would it be ok to put new ceramics straight in truck or do i have to see if i can get some cycled ceramics?
