What are you most worried about? Honestly you wont hurt them as long as you take your time and dont yank anything ( oh gawd!)

i am quite worried ill drop it before i manage to put it in the tanks, also dont want to take any of its sacales off.
with crabs i really dont want to pick em up incase i get attacked.
and im not sure how to tickle snails?

I just use a glass for a fish - they dont see it coming - however that does mean I transfer some of the water!

If you touch their foot they will usually let go, or very gently pull the snail, just a little pressure, they will usually go inside as they think they are being attacked

ah that makes sense, think i will just use a net for the fish, but have a tub fill it with a bit of the water then net the fish and put in tub so it isnt out of water.
im fine just picking the inverts up, bit concerned about crabs tho.
