How Old/long Do Bettas Live

I'm a newbie, but they can live at LEAST a year to 2 years if nothing goes wrong. In their natural habitat I think they can live 3-5 years!

i've heard that they can possibly live 5-7 years, and there have even been some that have lived over 10 years. but don't quote me on that.

Generally between 2 and 4 years. I had one live nearly 6 years once.
