Let pretend I'm 14.
I start out with that number, 14.
First you do 14+14 = 28. 28 x 7 = 196
That would make me 196 years old.

Oh come on, that can't be right. It's very common for small dogs to live to 14, but sure as heck isn't common for humans to live to 196.

I agree to that, Ethos's formula seemed really odd to me.

Hahaha! I caused a dog year debate! The way I heard it years ago, 1 dog year equals 7 human years. That was a long time ago, back when my calculator had an eraser on one end.

I say instead of saying our ages in dog years, wouldn't it be appropo to state our ages in fish years, i averaged 18 fish's lifespans (9 salt and 9 fresh) and the average was 10.83 so, divide your real age by 10.83 and then post. Just a suggestion. I happen to be 1.6620498614958447
