How Old Are You, And How Long Have You Been Fish Keeping?

19, a couple months into tropical fish keeping.

my brother's girlfriend got me into fish, she's a betta nut.
she has about 12? they're beautiful. she's working on mating.

goldfish, i've had in my pond since i was little though.

I'm 14, got started when I was about 8 with a 45g tank full of livebearers. (AHH! ATTACK OF BABY FISH!) I didn't really care then. But I've had sunfish, turtles, eels, bass, minnows, shiners, goldfish, koi, frogs, tadpoles, neons, tiger barbs, and tons of other fish. I became obsessed on Labor Day, when I first set up the 30g in my siggy. I'm getting a 10g for Christmas, and I'm saving up for a 55g turtle and goldfish tank.

Ill be 30 in a month and a half, been keeping fish on and of since I was a kid, been solid for the last 5 years though, Ive got a 120 gallon tank and I have a new project, starting another 20 gallon tank, trying to decide on freshwater or if marine is really worth the time and cost.

I am 25- I grew up with goldfish in little bowls but I've had my 10 gallon for a year, and my other two tanks (75 gallon and 5 gallon) about 9 months, and 5 months respectivly :)

Well, im 26 and ive been keeping fish for surprisingly not that long.... 2 years or so. Previous to that ive always WANTED to but only ever had the odd goldfish.

Ive just set up my 4th tank, so im at:

Tank 1: Vision 260
1 x gibbiceps plec (Nigel)
1 x m. dayi (bob)
1 x m. siamensis (dave)
9 x peppered corys (well ones an albino but he pretends to be peppered)
4 x adult angels in two pairs, one of which have successfully spawned
4 x baby angels, offspring of above
5 x black skirt tetra
5 x black neon
5 x x ray tetra
5 x head n taillight
2 x glowlights
4 x false siamese algae eater

(not all of the above are intended to stay in there permanently!)...

Tank 2: 3ft x 15 x 18
2 x atya gabonensis aka vampire shrimp
2 x m. zebrinus
1 x m. aral
3 x baby angels
6 x silvertip tetras
1 x r. fallax
1 x ? whiptail
1 x longfin ancistrus
lots of flipping snails.

Both live planted tanks with a sand substrate and bogwood and stones.

Quarantine tank currently housing unknown mastacembelus eel 'Ellis',

Tank 4, 4ft x 15 x 15

No one home yet, sand substrate, rocks, will havep l ants as of tomorrow, Ellis moving in on Thursday.

Then the quarantine tank, which wont be required as im BANNED from taking in anyone else for ages (i have a smaller hospital tank but that doesnt get left running), will become a leetle tiny nano planted tank with i dont know what yet.

So ive come along way since getting my 'large aquarium starter kit' from PAH a few years back - since that 'large aquarium' will soon become my tiny planted tank!

45 - started 18months ago with a 70L and a pair of convicts ( got them from a friend).

Now have 7 (from 300L to about 50L) tanks. While stock consists of goldfish, tiger barbs, bumblee gobies, neon tetras, shrimp, DAF's common plec, clown loaches, pokadot loaches, kulli loaches, angel fish, ottos, corys, rams, .....

Going to start to rationalise things to 3/4 tanks, as the years go by.

I'm 33 and have been fishkeeping since I was 12 when my older brother left his tank behind while he went into the Army. I've kept fish ever since. And so far, have only done freshwater.

My boyfriend Richehell is 21 and I'm 19 and we've been keeping fish since September. Love them to bits! Only one tank but due another 2 or 3 very soon.

This hobby is more addictive than getting tattoos.

Of which I plan to get oneof a corydoras. :p

I'm 15, I've had my tropical community for 2 years. My PFK nano when it arrives will be my second tank. My dad also has his own larger tank in a different room. (which obviously isn't nearly as great as mine!)

I'm 12, 13 in feb. I think that makes me the youngest fishkeeper to reply to this thread, at the moment. Been keeping fish for about a year and 1 month. I have 2 tanks and I've been enjoying it from the beginning, ever since I got my first tank with that little shoal of danios...
