Well, all of mine are ready to breed then. I feed morning and night. Yikes! Is the tank filtered and has the filter cycled?
In an established tank with a fully cycled filter you normally feed the following:
Adult fishes that are not breeding get feed once a day.
Adult fishes that are breeding or being prepared for breeding get fed 3-5 times a day. More water changes and gravel cleans should be done when feeding them more often to keep the tank clean.
Baby and juvenile fishes should be fed 3-5 times a day and given enough food so their stomachs are fat and they look like pregnant guppies. Again, do more water changes and gravel cleans to keep the water clean.
Colin I've always fed mine twice daily and the last feed is at 4pm because that's when my cory get their tablets is that an ok time once daily?Adult fishes that are not breeding get feed once a day.
