How often do you do water changes on average?

i do a 50% on my 180 gallon every 2-3 weeks.
my bettas i do once a month.

Depends on how the tanks look...........but to be honest "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I do clean ups (and minor water changes every week or two)......then major water changes every month (unless it looks like it is needed before hand).

I change 20-25% on both tanks every Sunday. If I am feeling lazy then it gets changed on Monday. Of course if I notice the fish aren't acting all right I check water stats & do water changes as needed.

My single bettas get changed 2x a week. My standard aquariums get 20-25% once a week.

If u get lazy, I recomend a python, being a lazy one myself!!

Sometimes if fish are sick/injured/ripped fins etc, i do more.

Yeah, once a week, unless the once a week falls on a sunday that has been preceeded by a big saturday night, and then they can wait!

Weekly water changes on all my tanks....the 6gal, 5gal, 10gal all get 30% changes the 30gal gets a 50% to reset my levels for the EI method

all mine get changed once a week on sunday morning. Sometimes I'm lazy and don't and they get done on wednesday, but usually it's sunday. 100 gal gets 30% changed. Goldfish get 50%, Spud (suvatti puffer) gets about 40% and Philip (collomessus puffer) gets 25%.

wow, I dont wanna sound stupid here but I have always been lead to beleive that you only had to do it once a month. Is this incorrect??

I will admit I got really lazy right after my daughter was born and let me tank go for quite a bit for about a year- but now Ive been doing a 25-40% water change about every 4 weeks.
