I'm creating a bundle for my etsy store targeted to new aquarists. It includes:
Java Moss
Moneywort
Pearl weed
Frogbit
Salvinia Minima
Dwarf Sag
Oak Leaves
Oak branches
Heat pack

How much do you think this is worth?

Everything in that picture? On the high end $30 maybe?
But I'd be charging like $20-$25 with how much you get...

If you ditched the twigs your boxes would be smaller and potentially less expensive to post. What would the twigs be for. You already have the leaves and the plants. Just a thought, I would order the plants, and if you threw in some leaves great, but I don't know about the twigs, likely wouldn't use them.

Hmm. You could use the twigs like this

Good thoughts.

I’d ditch the twigs and maybe have separate twig and leaf bundles. I’d pay 30 at the most, 20 most likely :)
Although I’m not the greatest for plant pricing, mine were suuuuper cheap 😂

Yah when I'm on Etsy looking for plants, I want nice bundles for relatively inexpensive pricing.
To me, I'd feel like I'm wasting money here. Cause I wouldn't want the leaves and twigs (maybe the leaves but idk).
You could do 3 types of bundles. One could be just plants, another could be just hardscape, and another could be hardscape and plants...
Just an idea

Also make sure the bundles are priced well in comparison to what you sell your plants individually.
If it's priced more than what it is to buy the plants individually, smart people will just buy the plants separately or from someone else all together

Depends on how much of each you get with the bundle. Recommend at least 5 stems per plant, and about a golf ball size of moss. Like the bundle that you put together though! I love salvinia minima, it grows so well!

I would not spend my time selling this if it were me. For one, if you need a heat pack you need a styro. Then a box for it all. You need bags to put the plants in to keep them moist. By the time you package everything figure the shipping and then add in your time and you would be better off flipping burgers at Burger King and throwing out the plants or giving them away, economically speaking.

I am having a hard time figuring out exactly for what size tank would that amount of plants be good? My first tank was a 45 gal. and when I converted from fake to real I needed a whole lot more greenery to start. The sticks mean a bigger box and wrapping/packing them so they do not break in transit.

If you do not want to guarantee the plants will arrive alive and healthy you will get bad feedback if they don't and then buyers will avoid you.

When I first started shipping fish that were born in my tanks it was bristlenose plecos, mostly long fins. I never made any money and could not move all the offspring that way. I finally had 0 bristlenose in 2014 when I sold all I had at CatCon to an employee who bought them for the fish store where she worked. I was so happy not to be overrun by BN any more.

If you are dead set on doing this I would offer two suggestions. First lose the twigs and leaves. Most people can find these for free and the wood makes one need bigger box.. Next. work out packages designed for different size tanks. Maye one for 10 gal. - 20 longs (i.e. shorter growing plants) another for 20 -29 gals. (taller growers) and a third for maybe 40B and 50s? You can also suggest people can buy multiple packages for their tanks as well.

Bear in mind the twigs and leave can be shipped at slow spped as they are expected to arrive DOA but the plants must be live. Mixing the two makes less sense in this case. The leaves could still be OKb ut most folks do not use leaves. Did you in your very first tank? Finally, you need to supply instrustions for planting and care as beginners have few clues.

I already run a plant business, so I have the bags and everything fo shipping. I will take everyone's advice and cut out the leaves and twigs. Thanks for the help!
