Hi,

I have six bronze catfish (C. aeneus), and I was wondering how many King British catfish pellets should I feed them each time (per day) please? I also give them frozen, a bit of fish treat tablet and algae wafer every so often, it's just the number of pellets I'm not sure about.

Hi callichthyid

It depends on the size of the wafers (we don't have those here in Canada) and the Corys but my guess is 1 should be more than enough for 6.

Rule of thumb is feed them what the can consume in < 1 hour and vacuum up the remaining food.

Cheers.

as much as they can eat in 2 minutes each day but remember if youve got fish theyll scavange the left over food and may eat the occasional bit of algae

Hi callichthyid,

King British catfish, are one of the foods i give my corys. Try a small amount at first, but you have to remember that the pellets need to soke water up for the fish, to really eat them proply.

Feeding rules arn't something to keep to ( 2 mins, sorry don't accept ), It depends alot on how much the fish will eat, and if they can find it.
