How Much Sand Do I Need To Order? Tetra Aquaart 60litre

Im looking to order some black tahitian moon sand and see that it comes in bags of 20 lbs. How many would i need to be sufficient for my aquaart 60 litres?

Hi, in my experience sand is approx 2.75kg per 12"x12" at 1" deep. So whats the size of the bottom of the tank? how deep do you want it? do the sums!

Oh and thats about 6lbs per 2.75 kgs, so a 20lbs bag would be about 40"x12" at 1" deep.... hope i havent confused things completely?

the tanks dimensions in cm are, Dimensions 57cm x 35cm x 30cm

Not looking for a planted tank just fake plants so how deep would i need the sand?

need ideas on whether i need to order 1 bag or 2, dont want to order 2 if it isnt really necessary

1 bag should give u just over 1 ich i think so 1 bag should be fine

and you can always order another at a later date if your plants are being dug up and floating off a lot. I like a good 1" + substrate, average, 1/2 at front, 1 1/2 at back, but others like it thin... depends on fish, substrate, plants and personal preference as well as budget!

Please post a photo once the sand is in and settled!
