How Much Salt?

hi everyone, i've been doing plenty of research before starting up a nano reef, but i still dont know how much salt to put in when setting up and water changes i've got kent salt and have measured 16 gallons of ro into the tank, how much salt do i put in? i'm picking up some live rock on tues morning, so i've got till then to get it right thanks in advance

Start with half a cup per gallon and then tweek the amount

Have you started a journel yet, we love to watch a new tank evolve?

my plans were just to have corals ans cuc, but to placate my good wife, i had to agree to fish as well i like the critter side of it and wasn't really bothered about fish(i have 3 f/w tanks from 20g-70g) so she and my daughter can choose the fish eventually. i got everything free off of a mate i did a favour for, except rock, water and livestock, so not a bad start i'm only getting 6 kilos of rock on tuesday so wont be doing anything until i can get another 4 kilos+1kilo rubble next month. i know its ideal to get it all in one go but couldn't turn down the 6 kilos for the price.
i suppose i should of also said that i used 30 grams of salt per litre and thats given me a reading of 1.020, so just have to adjust that up a bit. thanks for the advice though seffie
