How Much Melafix For A 1/2 Gallon?!?!?

1/2 a gallon is too small for a betta! you'd need litterally one drop I think, its 5ml per 38 litres which you halve for bettas

You should get a 1 gallon or even a 2.5 gallon for haspital tanks. With a half-gallon you will need to clean out his bowl everyday. But yes 1 drop for 1/2 gallon.

EDIT: kk so I added a drop or 2 of elafix and I already see some regrowth in his fins. There is now a white, clearish ends to his fins which I believe are the fins regrowing (I hope). The giant gash in his tail seems to be the same but it does look lik the in rot has minimalized.

You're not going to see regrowth in one day, it takes time. Healing and regrowth could take several weeks

glod, thanks for reminding me it'll take time. I'm just so anxious to make it all better :p . I use 3 diffrent products so regrowth is quicker.

i read on another forum that melafix and pimafix are not safe for fish with labryinth organs. They said that some labryinth fish have died because of it. I am not an expert, but I thought I would share the information because of its importance.

I use Melafix for my bettas when needed and they are fine. It is advisable to use LESS than the stated dosage though as they will be less tolerant than other fish. :good:

I already stated to halve the dose. Half is usually fine
