How Much Lr I Need?

yes, I am going to buy a flat LR and put them under the existing LRs rather than expand LR horizontally.

Start thinking about the lighting...... any sugguestion? I did not find a good article to read.

What I understand now, please correct me.
1. less than 24'' height, go for PC lights or T5, more than 24'' MH
2. whatever light , you need at least a blue bulb for corals
3. Blue light will not bloom the algae up, but the yellows/white light will (am I correct?)

you dont need a blue light (actinic) with MH or any other light actually. Go with a 14,000k light with MH if it suits you or 10,000k or 20,000k, ive seen sps tanks under 6,700k with a lot better growth than 10,000k+. I am pretty sure the lower the spectrum the higher the par down to 6,500k, 6,500k is the peak spectrum for PAR am i correct?

Some people say actinics are needed, others say actinics are asthetic. I listen to the people who say actinics are asthetic since they have given me scientific proof and experiance proof. But someone can change my mind with some scientific proof.
