How Much Fe Is Toxic?

I would like to know the amout of chelated Fe is toxic to fish?

I know that 0.5 to 1.0 ppm is recommened but I just want to know the safety margin that I have....

I have a tank that soft water(KH 2), wild warm water SA fish, this is the most sensitive group to metals.
Shrimp are even more so(most all inverts).

I added 200mls of SeaChem Flourish to an 80 liter tank.

That's 40x the suggested dose at high light, CO2 enriched max growth rates.
No fish or shrimp died.

So you have a lot of play.

Is it 0.1 or 1mg/l. Anyway I won't go above double the recommended dose. It knocks the hell out of rainbowfishes and many other Australian native fishes from the southwest.
Most common tropical fish can withstand double the dose but it isn't good for the fish long term.

Seachem flourish does not have Fe....So Im not sure if that answers my question....

also, Im not interested in the dose that will kill fish fast, I want to know what levels are toxic in the long term...

Yes you are right, I was thinking Seachem micro, I use it for the micro nutirients. I add Fe from powdered FE chelate...
