How Much Do You Spend On Your Fish A Year?

hi just out of interest and a bit of cheekieness, how much money do you spend on your fish a year.
i spend about £80

About £40 if that. Food and water conditioner only. My tank basically runs itself.

Too much... When I buy fish I spend at least a tenner (somehow...), and theres food, dechlor, deco...

i spend like 20$ now, lolz. But on my first year i had fishes i spended like over 500$ in that year.

Well, I've set up 3 tanks in the last 12 months, so that's obviously not come free. Spent very little on the actual fish; all the ones I bought in my first shopping expedition are either alive or have left offspring, so haven't bought any more since. Dechlorinator, test kit, some medicine but not a lot. When I do want retail therapy, I buy plants or more Tetradelica.
But I am planning for a bigger tank- and rather more expensive fish...

What ever my wife allows me to spend. I just saw a used 180 gal w/ a built in sump, stand, and lighting. If I was single it would be in the basement now.

first year of *A* tank i spend from 100-300 dollars.now i spend around 10,15 dollars

since august I've spent atleast 900 USD on the hobby. one 12 gallon nanocube and two five gallons which I later took down.

Just running the FW community tank I have is probably about £200 - £250 a year.

Wow, I'm suprised by everones answers so far. I would say I spend about $2000 U.S. if not more. I would be to afraid to add it up.

Well I just set up a new Money program in October of last year. I just to a look at my fish catagory. Since Oct 18 I've spent $1336. Ouch

I do have several tanks though including a reef tank.

not including water and electrics bills i probably spend on my established 55gallon freshwater tank $100 a year.

My dad pays for the electricity bill which is about $75 a year. Fish are about 10 bucks a year, because that's when I go to the fish warehouses. Plants about a little more than 10 bucks a year, and the equipment I find online for free.
