How much difference does size make..?

What are the tank dimensions (length x width x height) of the 120 and 200?

The 125 ltr has dimensions of 80 x 35 x 50 cms ( I think this includes the lid otherwise the capacity is wrong) and the 200 ltr 100 x 40 x 55 (again including the lid).

I’m going to stock with Dwarf Neon Rainbows and Platies

Large systems, if they are well planted with a smaller fish load only need 25% water changes once a week. The big advantage with 25% water changes is you can just add cold water, so you don't need to bother about mixing valves etc.

The smaller tank will probably weigh less because it's not as high. they normally use thicker glass on taller tanks.

A tank that is 100cm long is better for rainbowfish but the height (55cm) is a pain especially for cleaning.

When it comes to aquariums, most new hobbyists start out with a small tank of 5g or 10g.
But a bigger tank with more water is actually more stable as things, sometimes bad things, happen much more slowly in a larger tank with more water.
My advice would be to get the largest aquarium you can...HOWEVER, there can be space issues and a larger tank will be heavier so proper support is a consideration. A 5g can go on an end table, a 10g on a dresser, but when we go big, we need more support. I once had a 29h on a coffee table and an 10g or 20g on a gutted color TV cabinet...so you can get creative by reinforcing furniture rather than paying a high price at the fish store for a stand.

Never on the naughty list

I’m in a first floor flat but have concrete floors so I’m not expecting the weight to be an issue from that respect, but I will be getting the tank on the purpose built stand (my diy skills are shocking ).

I knew I’d get the ”bigger” answer I wanted on here
