so about $250 on this one so far, but I'm gearing up for a major overhaul....gonna blow about another $600 bucks on this one for pressurized CO2, Eheim filter with external heater, another light, new substrate, EI chemicals...the list goes on and on!!!

WOW looking at some of the prices (although unless I look at a conversion page for Euro to canadian) it looks like I got an excellent deal.

I don't remember my 10 gal it was 7 years ago.

My 25 gal I got as a kit and I was very pleased with what I got in it. Also I am still adding stuff to it.

All of this is in Canadian Pricing

Tank, Hood, Fluorescent Lamp Heater, Filter System, 1 Filter, Thermometer, plus a little packet of stress stuff and tap water condition (which I don't need that) = $100
Stand = $79 (plus about $10 for 1inch dowling to make it stronger)
Substrate = $20-25
Plants = $20-30 so far
Air Bubbler for under the gravel = $5 pump I already had

So far that's $250, I am pleased with it.

My LFS got a huge deal on 25 gal because they bought a whole skid of the ones with kits so they were able to give us the deal.
