I now have two fish species that show their love for me ever day.

First is one of my Khuli loaches that I have had for a while now, with its upside down hearts

And now one of my endlers is also showing his love

Does anyone else have fish that also show their love?

My fish show their love. They eat my plants and steal my food. ;)
They also bite me when I clean the tank.

I'm not sure if it's love, trust, or the potential of finding food, but I have four guppies that seem like they love me.  No matter what I am doing, such as gravel vacuuming, doing water changes, rearranging decorations, trimming/pruning plants, or feeding, they like to swim around my hand and arms and nibble on me and whatever I am holding.  They trust me far too much, as I am clumsy, and have accidentally whacked them with hoses and plants before.  Yet they still trust me.

By the way, I love your loach!

My new ram shows "interest" in me whenever I come up to the tank.  He dances in front of the glass, and seems to be begging for food.  Is that love, or manipulation?

That endler is so cute! Great pic :)
Unfortunately my fish don't love me, they nip my hands everytime I have to plant something or rearrange things!

I don't think many of my fish love me either!

The emerald rasboras are shy and hide until I'm sat completely still, the clown plec is only seen out and about twice a year (you call the kids when you see him, lol!), the oscar hates the sight of everyone and everything, the tiger barbs nip me, and I had to separate two species of corydoras from one tank, so they all flee when they see me coming now too :-(

The glowlight danios and the panda cories still seem to like me :)

+1 Same with my GBR I've knocked him with my gravel vac a few times. But I was touched the other week when one of my ottos decided to settle and start munching on my hand when they're normally so shy :)

awwwww mine hate me sometimes my chinese algae eater and my highfin pleco just stay at the spot they are in when i go to look at them and they stare at me for a long time and then eventually move on but thats all i get

Ha, ha. That was really funny.

All my platies, guppies and forktail rainbows are totally friendly. I was removing some floating plants a while ago, they were fighting amongs each other to come up to me and sniff my fingers thinking I am putting food in. They'd bunch all up on the side of the tank if I am feeding the tank next to them and follow me around the room too.  I don't think it's love though

My shrimp are fairly friendly too. They attack my hands when I do something around the tank.

But my pleco for example used to be very skittish for the first year. He'd run and hide when I put food in the tank. Now he's the complete opposite and he rushes to my hand and lets me pet him. He'd munch on my fingers if I don't hold food.  They really can take their time to start trusting you. I am still working on my clown loaches and now it's gone to a stage where at least they don't run once I enter the room as it was that bad.

My BN pleco is rather skittish, and he's been in my tank for about a year and a half.  He's full grown now (full ugly as my wife calls him).  He comes out when I feed the tank, but he runs away as soon as someone near the tank moves even a little bit.  He comes back more quickly now than he used to, but he still flees.  Which is funny, because as a juvenile, he'd cling to the glass while we were in the room for hours.  Not anymore...

You know, I've said it before, but if you breed fish and keep the offspring, the offspring is always friendlier than the parents. It seems that they do have certain type of memory and can remember previous stress, like being netted, travelled, moved around tanks I presume. It's just my personal observations.

I agree with that... my panda cories are much more out and about now.  Partly because there are 12, but also because 10 of them were born in this tank.  They don't even seem to mind my "redecorating" from time to time.  They have hiding places, but they are just as content to hang out in the open as in a "covered" location, even when me, my wife or even my son are doing things right next to the tank.

wow, i feel so left out....my corycats totally ignore me, rasboras run away, cardinals glance at me out of the corner of their eyes.....oh, except my fat Opaline gourami who always bites my hand ;/

My Betta, Oliver (below in sig) throws a tantrum if I pay attention to my other tanks and not him. I think I'd call that some weird form of love. He also greets me everytime I sit opposite his tank

Yeah like most, they love my wallet which magically produces them gifts of food and toys on a daily basis!
