its funny how things go, but when i got my marine tank i promised hubby i would only have one unlike the FW where i have 4 now. we dont have a whole lot of room and we both agreed the first SW tank would also be the last.

this was until my hubby found out we couldnt have sea horses in our 4ft reef  i had toyed with the idea of starting a nano and had even done a fair bit of research but for the reason mentioned already, just made it a thought and a plan that would never happen. until that is, my hubby found out we could sea horses in a nano if we got a larger size one. so all of a sudden, hes making plans for me to take back my oscar to my shop and we can use the space in the bedroom where the oscar is to put the nano. OK, fine i say...its my shop so i can just not sell my oscar then i can still have him :)

next he decides it would be nice if we could lay in bed and watch the tank. if it went where the oscar was, we would have to be at an awkward angle to see it. so five minutes later im cleaning off the dressing table in front of the bed, to put the tank on by his suggestion  i guess i dont really need anywhere to do my hair and make up or to get dressed and make sure i look alright lol

OK so now we have a 30" glass tank (this is on my $1200 solid wood dressing table mind you) with aqualina t5 lighting (with moonlight), an aqua clear 110, an aquarworld 800 internal, a 250lph powerhead. the internal will soon be swapped for a 1000 cannister when i can find where my puppy has hidden the intake pipes lol shes hiding anything and everything, anywhere and everywhere at the moment. not chewing anything, just hiding it lol

i find it amazing how the same man could be so adament that we were only going to have the one SW tank at the house and then all of a sudden be making me put a tank on my bloody dresser lol

so let that be a lesson to all you women out there...find a passion your husband can share and eventually he will become as obsessive about it as you and the work you have to put in to being allowed to do something, is lessened considerably :)

Use proper punctuation; it makes stories like this a lot easier to read, especially for people like me who didn’t grew up with English.

post was not regarding my punctuation...it was regarding my husband and my tank...pm me if you feel the need to have a go at my punctuation

Some women... you can't even make a kind suggestion or they ract like this... pretty sad.

Haha nice! I bet your husband will enjoy another tank! What kind of tank will it be? FO FOWLR or a Reef? You post a picture! :)

Admittadly English is my first language but I have had a harder time understanding posts made by other people rather than this post. Usually from people who write 'should of' when they should write 'should have' but thats a story for a rainy day.

This post is easy to read... unlike some people (and no i am not starting anything here) using abbreviations such as 'u, r, y? etc etc. That gives you a headache!

Bloke are blokes, i'm one, were not like women, women are butterflys, we like to stick to a hobby.

Good luck with the new tank though!!!!

EDIT:

As in when we like an idea we will make it bigger, bugger i'm pissed, can't explain what i mean, oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Any way back on topic me and the mrs managed to talk our selves into 7 tanks at one point (this is a 1 bedroom tiny little house) and we had something like 550 gallons of water dotted around.
its easy to talk each other into it but now were going to downgrade to 1 reef and one small fw (atleast till we sell the house and get some where bigger

Very true, downgrading is well...difficult to put it at a 'G' rating.

Hope the rerenovations and the move goes well. That can't be easy

Pretty amazing that others know how difficult it was for me to read that post.

I don’t know where you all grew up, but in my country the general idea of using punctuation is to make text more readable. Anyway, I don’t want to continue off topic, I only made a kind suggestion and obviously it wasn’t all that well received.
