How Many

hello there
i'm after a little advise here please
i have a 4ft tank which is home to a comunity,
platties, corys, tetras,x2 golden bristle nosed cats (they are an inch long atm)
my question is how many bristlenoses would live
happily in there in you opinions.

Hi,

How many gallons does the tank hold ? I have a 4 foot tank which is only 29 gallons but 55s and 75 can also be 4 feet.

It is usually male that cause the problems as they like to have their own territory. If you have enough bog wood and hiding places and the tank is 55 gallons you might get away with 2 males, but it would be better to have a single male with 2 or 3 females. I have a male and female with several of their offspring in my 400 litre, i will have to rehome the babies as they get bigger.

thanks for replying.
tank is 48x15x20,
i have bought two this morning,so i shall see how things go,they are just under an inch,the same
as the other two,there is plenty hiding and wood aswell.
the lfs where i bought them from are really nice,and i would not have a problem
taking one or more back,once i find out who is who.
