Hi!
I already have a 10 gallon tank split in half that houses two bettas, a snail on each side, and a small platy on each side as well (though I don’t know how long they will be staying in that tank).
I recently saw a betta I was interested in purchasing but I’m wondering if dividing the 10 would make each compartment too small.
The tank has an appropriate filter, is cycled, and is standard dimensions.
Any advice would help, thanks.

I think that less than 5 gallons per Betta would not be good. They need room to swim. I kept my Betta alone in 5 and 10 gallon tanks

That would be way too small I’m afraid for all of those fish. They already need a much larger tank. At least a 20G long. These fish need length to swim, not just depth. I’m sorry.

Less than 5 can make them stressed, they need at least 5 gal as other member said.

That depends on how many 1 cubic inches fit into 10 gallons. Or if you use microns millions. However if your question was how much room does a fish need to thrive then the answer would be you can't divide it anymore and you don't have enough room as it is.

There are 2310 cubic inches in a 10 gallon tank:oops:
