My LFS are selling the Zebra's at £180 each or £300 for the pair. They know us very well and we're considering asking for all 4 for £260 - £280 and see what they say. It would be a complete gamble for us as we've never bred fish but would also be a great project. And if they don't breed, well, then we've got 4 lovely Zebs and could sell a couple on at a cheaper price. I'm still trying to convince the hubby though
The Red Whips are very small. Only get about 10cm but they are really skinny, delicate little things. We've got 2 in our Juwel Rekord 120n (about 29g) and they don't poop much. They'd be fine in either your 40g or 21g. The 40g is probably better though. I wouldn't put them in with any big plecs. Plus, they are better in a smaller tank or you'd never see them.
If you ever see any, snap them up. They are so adorable. I'd recommend a sand substrate for them too.
