Ive lost count of the number of snakehead fry ive found on the carpet come morning time, their natural instinct is to jump out of the pond they live in and find one of their own as soon as they are big enough so they carry this on when kept in a tank. They are also great escape artists so its almost impossible to keep them in the tank, even the tiniest hole where a cable enters the tank is enough for a 1" snakehead to get out of.
Ive also had a bala shark, 2 spiney eels, a senegal bichir and a couple of African butterflies take the leap of faith over night to be found dried and dead in the morning. My arowana and archer fish have been on the floor too when theyve gotten over excited chasing food but luckily i've been there to put them back in.

I have a nifty little invention on my tank called a hood which works wonders with keeping the fish in the tank. :p

The only fish I've lost on the floor was Jute, our rope fish who vanished from the tank one night.

We didn't find his perfectly dried, mummified corpse for four years until we moved the tank one day.

 it looks like a snake!!!!!!im suprised it didnt rot away.

I've had 1 harlequin rasbora , 3 guppies, 1 pleco, 1 cory and 1 platty :D all survived.

when my fry tank cracked, one of the gupies were on the ground some how, so i put the net beside it..and it jumped in the net...one also jumped into a breeding trap a long time ago..and a platty jumped out..a long time ago too..
