Just been looking at the TOTM voting numbers. 59 votes in total !!!!!
I know not everyone takes time to look at the entries and vote but 59 !!!!! How many forum members do we have? Must be a lot more than 59 !!!!.
Come on guys 'n gals. One day you might want to enter the competition yourself so at least be understanding to those who have taken the time to enter some wonderful tanks, and VOTE --- Please.
You can even change a vote if you change your mind so look again.

Yes I noticed this, the bigger tanks on the previous TOTM got double the amount of voters. And the previous POTM got even less

If you want to perform your forum duty, click on link below, review the 10 entries and then cast your vote

I never vote in these sort of things because there is only one person who needs to like how a tank looks and that is the owner of it.
I think everyone is able to view a work of art and like it, even if he wasn't the artist.
Inspiration is gained by those who take time to study.

So you put your tank in the competition here and there are a "meager" 59 votes and your tank got 2 or maybe none. I bet that really makes you feel good especially if you have dedicated a lot of time and effort making it look the way you want it.

If you want inspiration for planted tank or paludarium try either of these sites:

As someone with one vote right now, I don't mind :D But that's because I only entered this one for a laugh and knew my tank wasn't pretty right now, I've won TOTM before, but before I won a month, I entered and came second a couple of times, and it just encouraged me to try harder to make my tank look the best it could and re-enter next time. I think of it as a light-hearted contest, a bit of fun.

Having said all that, I totally get and respect your point of view! And sorry @Fishmanic and others, but I never vote or enter the pet of the month contest for similar reasons. Pets are too unique and special to me. I don't rank my own pets, I'm not gonna vote and say that one person's dog is better than someone else's. Makes me feel horrible at the thought. So if @TwoTankAmin has similar objections about voting on tanks, I have to respect that view.

We do try to keep the totm entrants honest and the competition fair for all via this rule:
“Any attempt to influence competition results, other than by casting your allocated vote, is not permitted and may result in your entry being removed and / or further action being taken. You are not allowed to have friends or family join TFF for the main purpose of voting for you. This is a public poll so source of votes can be viewed.”

I voted but won't disclose my selection to avoid influence. ;)

I think it is the July contest that my 20 gallon cube will qualify and will probably enter. I couldn't care less about winning but I'd like to see what others think. I also intend to enter my cockatiel in a pet of the month contest eventually.

It is public who you voted for :) So we all know who you voted for
