How many Firemouths??

How many Firemouths can I put in my 20 Gallon tank with a plecostamus?

well the pleco will out grow the 20 gallon tank ...as for the firemouth they can get 6-8 inches id wonder about 2 mine is very teritorial id bet on only one in a 20 gallon

A full grown firemouth should have a 55g or 40 breeder minimum, imo.

Probably not for long.. Looks like they get pretty territorial.. SMB is suggesting Twice the tank for just one so... 2 wouldn't be a good idea..

They prefer to be kept in pairs, as they tend to be more aggressive if kept on their own.

I suppose it's possible to keep 2 in a 20g, providing that you plan to move them into a bigger tank in the future, but don't quote me on that.
