Hey guys my cory has just laid eggs alot all over the tank.

I cant remove them but alot of them are behind my bubble wall and covered on my coconut how many eggs are laid usually and how many survive/

Mature females can lay 100+ eggs, if they're not removed they may well get eaten by your fish including the corys,if they do survive to hatch out,the fry will probably get eaten unless you have good hiding spaces for them...

Congrats on your eggs :good:

Cheers there seems to be over 100 :/

Gona have to sort something out woould love to keep them i found an hatchery that goes in the tank so i took of a leaf with about 40 eggs on and put it in there. see how it goes.

It would be good to pop an airstone into the hatchery to ward off fungus on the eggs :good:

Ideally they'll do better in a fry tank if they do hatch out, they wont have much room in a hatchery...

Good luck :good:

My albinos just done a major spawn, most the eggs got munched has soon has they were laid,i removed some only for the net to fall into the fry tank and the eggs scattered everywhere...we'll see what happens

not one fish has attempted to eat the eggs yet well from the ones i have seen anyway.

Yeah time they hatch hopefully ill have picked up a small tank or something from somewhere.

When should i do a water change i done one yesterday then this happened.

Your usual w/c will be ok, although they might spawn again

The eggs should hatch within 3-4 days if they're fertile,if they turn white in the first 24 hrs then normally they wont be much good.so remove them or they'll turn furry and affect the good eggs.

They do vary in colour, some lay yellow/beige colour, normally creamy colour and will darken if fertile, if they turn solid white they're infertile.
