How Many Discus If Any?

No, Discus needs to be in a 50 gallon or larger.

Thats not true.

i im housing 3 4'' Discus in my 40 and there doing great
other tank mates are 6 corys and a couple Otto's

36 gallons should be fine for 2 Discus and you need to buy them

at a adualt size no less then 5'' because younger discus need to

be in a school of 6 or more. you could also think of upgrading or getting

a group of 6 young discus and as they get older and bigger sell them off

this will save $$$ as when they are bigger they sell for more.

Tigerman, were you planning to put them in with the fish that are in your 30 gallon?

While young discus need to be kepy in groups of at least 6. They need lots of food and lots of water changes. A 30 gallon tnak is only good for a single breeding pair.

i agree with nicholson,

it is a bit on the small side even for a group of young discus, it wont be that long b4 they out grow it, that is th sort of size u would keep a breeding pair in.

Can house 6 little Discus or 4 adults for a short while, but eventually will have to move to a bigger tank.
