How Loud?

I put my aquarium pump in a cupboard on my landing and run the tube through the wall and along skirting boards, I use large sponge filters run off the pumps, don't hearr a thing after I did that lol

To be honest, my air pumps are louder than the filter!

On a small tank like that, the XP1 is all you would need. I am running one as the only filter on a 29 gallon tank. If you want a bit of overkill, try an XP2. I have been using an XP3 as the only filter on my 120 gallon tank for about 10 years now and I still need to walk around behind the tank and lay my hand on it to see if it is running. It is dead silent.
