How long have you kept fish?

I started back in the early 1970's until this very day... It's been a while...

I've kept fish since I was a kid- probably fifty years or so- but not continuously, or ever more than two or three tanks at any one time. I consider myself a beginner, really.

I started in the 70s too, but I am not a "fish mastah." I am good at a few things, but I've mostly learned how very much there is to know.

I kept fish in a 5 gallon tank when I was 8 or something. Turning 15 in March so yeah. It was originally a tank with guppys but i decided it would be a good idea to add a bosemani rainbowfish... and a ruby shark. So yeahhh... Before I get hate, we didn't know about what fish could go in what tank and we didn't research what could go in the tank.

Eight+ years all told but spread out over nigh on 50yrs so I’m no master of anything. Maybe a three time newbie?

I first starting kepping fish when I was 10 years old in 2016,my first tank was a betta fish in a bowl?, I did not know anything about keeping fish at all. Later on over the years I learned more about fish and realized that I was pretty cruel to the bettas I kept. So in 2018 I bought my first community fish tank which was a 10 gallon(it is my profile photo) that is why the gravel is blue lol. I have now kept bettas in tanks no less than a 10 gallon. I am now currently starting to add more and more plants to my 10 gallon, it used to only have artificial plants.
