Guys how long can i leave cucumber in the tank.

I decided to put some in for my Pleco and shrimp as no matter what i put in the tank they dont get any.

I normally leave it in overnight on a hangover morning so a good 12 hours, i dont know if that's too long though

12 hours is a good amount of time to leave in the tank but if you dont have time to remove it in the morning it wont do any harm to leave it a little longer. 18-24 hours max, after this time it will really start to decompose.

That's good to know, it's hard work going fishing for cucumber when you're seriously hungover - it causes a few arguements too because the girlfriend keeps going on and on and on until i remove it LOL.

I put mine in at night time and its gone in the morning.

Well i decided to turn my tank lights off nothing. 30 mins later the male Bristlnose is going for gold at it. :)

just waiting for my shrimp tank to get some action

I think you will find your pleco would prefer peeled raw courgette. Mine are also partial to sweet potato (microwaved for around 30 secs just to soften a little) and red peppers. My ammano shrimp loved blanched crushed peas, same with sweetcorn.

+1
There are so little nutrients in cucumber it's barely worth the bother!

i take the green skin off cucumber then put it in the tank, i dont actually remove it, it rots down to nothing, other veg however, i do fish out.
