How long can fish stay in bags ??

you could even throw a tiny air pump in there

why use an air pump? those fish are more than capable of staying in bags for 6 hours

The fish will be in securely fastened plastic bags inside the insulated bag. There is no point in using an air pump as that would only move air around the outside of the plastic bags.

oh i was thinking about emptying the small plastic into a big plastic and then put air pump (big plastic the size of the cooler)

the best way to transport small tropical fish is to bag them up and put into a polystyrene box larger fish can be transported in buckets /large containers as long as you can keep the fish at correct temperature, and has been mentioned the fish were going to be bought from a pet shop so each species should be kept separately in different bags I would not recommend putting them all together in one bag or container and when correctly kept in bags they do not need a air pump, As title says how long can fish live in bags the answer is not to leave them in bags no longer than they need to be it's nothing for a fish to stay in a bag for 24-hours
